Off course that may not work when many units are attacking and the destruction of the outpost would kill the villagers that are garrisoned inside. ![]() He can then build one outpost near by, and when rushed by a few units, the villagers can garrison in the outpost and add to its attack. This will allow a player to send his villagers to a more remote areas (take more risk) to collect food from wild animals, or cut wood. ![]() Garrisoning villagers in outposts could be a good answer to those quick rushes that sometimes end the game too quickly. That is too bad, because if garrisoned villagers would add attack to an outpost, then the game would be more tactical. My understanding is that villagers that are garrisoned in a town center add attack to the town center, but they don't add any attack to an outpost. ![]()
